Welcome to Tranistion Town Shoreham-by-Sea (TTSbS)!

 

 

Who are TTSbS?

Transition Town Shoreham-by-Sea, part of the Transition Town network, is a group of volunteers aiming to start a community response to the challenges of climate change and peak oil. We have formed several groups around local project issues, food/growing and textiles

Where you can find us: 

We always have a stall at the Shoreham-by-Sea farmers market on the second saturday of each month... come and talk to us!

 

And we usually get together for a film viewing the following Thursday....

Our Aims:

Our core purpose is to mobilise and facilitate community action in order to respond effectively and positively to climate change and peak oil. We aim do this by:

  • raising awareness in the Shoreham-by-Sea area to the issues of climate change and peak oil
  • providing a framework for an effective response to climate change and peak oil, including facilitating the creation of an Energy Descent Plan
  • working with people and groups already engaged with these issues
  • empowering people in the Shoreham-by-Sea area to respond positively to climate change and peak oil
